Highlighting YWCA Board Members
Sarah Taby loves living and working in Carlisle with her partner, Dave, and their 3 dogs and 1 cat. Sarah is a licensed psychotherapist at Franco Psychological Associates and also the co-owner of Miss Ruth’s Time Bomb. She grew up with the YWCA – her mother sought support from the agency and Sarah was a member of Y Teens – and she loves being part of the YW’s positive Mission.
Sarah supports the YW by putting together ‘Team Equality’ to run the Race Against Racism; by partnering with Rillo’s to create a fashion show/ladies night out event to benefit the YW; and by promoting the programs & services of the agency whenever she gets a chance! She’s a whiz with social media.
Sarah is currently reading, ‘Let’s Pretend This Didn’t Happen’ by Jenny Lawson, but her favorite author is David Sedaris. She loves far too many books to choose just one, but she does believe that almost every woman she meets should read ‘Women Who Love Too Much.’
Sarah loves working with Phoenix Assistance Dogs and has two – one goes to school with Dave and one helps her with clients at Franco Associates. Sarah has always been a feminist and is drawn to empowering women and advocating for equality for everyone. To be part of an organization whose Mission reflects these values is a perfect match for her!
