young wonders day camp

For ten weeks in the summer, children who have completed Kindergarten through 5th grade have a safe, recreational, and fun experience in YWCA Carlisle’s Young Wonders Summer Day Camp (YoWo). Campers go swimming 2 days each week at the Carlisle Community Pool, enjoy games in our full size gym, spend time playing on our large grounds and make cool art projects in our air-conditioned facilities.

Every week, campers participate in an activity designed to teach them life skills – team work, community service, and kindness to others. Campers also read or journal for 30 minutes each day and earn incentives with every 100 books read.  Weekly field trips introduce children to local attractions and are always a fun experience for all!  A special effort is made to include children from our afterschool programs and the camp also welcomes children recommended by school guidance counselors.
