Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community. YWCA Carlisle & Cumberland County has an array of opportunities for you to become involved as much or as little as your schedule allows – recurring opportunities, special events, program support and more. We would love your help supporting the women and families we serve.
Ways to Volunteer

Become a Sexual Assault Hotline Counselor
Do you want to make a difference in the lives of survivors of sexual assault? We will train you to answer hotline calls, support survivors in hospitals, and provide support and kindness to survivors and their loved ones.

Front Desk Volunteers
Help us serve our community effectively by working at our front desk! Duties include answering phones, assisting community members at the front desk, and potentially assisting with mailings as needed when the office manager cannot be in the office.

Pad Pantry Volunteers
Want to work on a project to help our community? Our Pad Pantry is the project for you. Our Pad Pantry is always in need of donations and products. We also need assistance in distributing products to our outreach locations. Reach out today to see how you can help.

YWCA Ambassadors
Do you want to help community members connect with YWCA Carlisle & Cumberland County? Our Ambassadors help represent the agency at outreach events in our community. From public safety fairs to cultural festivals, there are many opportunities.

Donors who give $150+ Annually are automatically enrolled in the Circle of Giving. Donations can be made to any program or campaign. Donations to fiscally sponsored programs are not eligible to be counted toward membership for Circle of Giving.

Robin's Way
Robin’s Way is a memorial campaign established in honor of a former Executive Director of YWCA Carlisle & Cumberland County, whose passion for supporting sexual assault survivors helped guide the agency for many years. Following her passing, YWCA created Robin’s Way with the guidance of her friends, Greg Gunn and Jewel Cooper, to continue the work she cared so deeply about. This fund supports services for survivors while keeping Robin’s legacy, values, and memory alive through the ongoing impact of her work.

Recurring Gifts
Setting up recurring donations on a monthly basis helps guarantee that those we serve receive the appropriate care and support every day. It allows you to easily spread your support throughout the year and provide a steady and reliable stream of income to us. You can donate monthly by selecting “automatically repeat the gift every month” on our donation page.

ACH Transfer
ACH electronic giving is a direct payment program whereby your contribution is debited automatically from your checking or savings account. Electronic contributions cannot be lost, stolen or destroyed, are resistant to errors and fraud, and are free for both you and the YW. ACH transfers make monthly giving easy, and you can cancel your authorization by notifying US at any time. Giving electronically makes it easy for you and helps YWCA Carlisle & Cumberland County save money!
In addition to receiving an acknowledgment and an annual gift statement from YWCA Carlisle & Cumberland County, your bank statement will provide an itemized list of electronic transactions. If you change bank accounts, simply notify YWCA and we will give you a new authorization form to complete. To set up an ACH payment, simply select “Checking Account” under “Payment Options” on the Donate page.

Honor/Memorial Gifts
Celebrate an important milestone, such as a birthday or anniversary, or remember a loved one through an honorary or memorial gift to YWCA Carlisle & Cumberland County. Encourage friends, family and colleagues to invest in the future of women and girls in lieu of materials gifts. Cards will be sent to those you would like notified of your generosity. Select “this is an honor or memorial gift” and follow the instructions that appear at our Donate page.

Stock Giving
A gift of appreciated stocks, bonds or mutual funds is an excellent way to support YWCA Carlisle & Cumberland County. Your donation will still be eligible for a tax deduction, and it may allow you to avoid or reduce capital gains taxes.
