YWCA is on a mission and YWCA Carlisle & Cumberland County is making it our own!
We meet our clients where they are most vulnerable and provide the compassion and services that place them on a path to self-sufficiency and prosperity.
Our vision is that all women and their families can achieve their full potential in a world without discrimination.
This requires focus on building services that address major concerns and barriers to living a safe and comfortable life. In Cumberland and Adams County, we provide services for those who have experienced sexual assault and/or human trafficking. Our services help guide you through the next steps and lead you on a path of healing.
Our Cumberland County Office also hosts our Little Wonder Preschool, offering opportunities for children ages 3-5.
Our services adjust to meet the changing needs of our clients today and in the future.
We remain rooted in rich history, but our approach to serving our clients is holistic, strategic and innovative.
YWCA Carlisle & Cumberland County serves everyone living in Cumberland County. Many of our programs focus on women and girls, but we support all members of the community in need, regardless of gender or gender identity. Many of our programs are for all ages and all genders.

Counseling
Following a sexual assault, our trauma-informed counselors are trained to provide comprehensive care and support to survivors and their affected loved ones. We meet survivors where they are, offering compassionate support, information, and resources to help them navigate the healing process at their own pace.
-

Civil Protection Orders
Our advocates can help you understand your legal protection options and guide you through the process of filing a Sexual Violence Protection Order (SVPO) or Protection from Intimidation (PFI) Order. Because each order has different eligibility requirements, our staff can help determine which option best fits your situation and provide support throughout the filing process.
-

Support Groups
We host rounds of support groups for survivors and affected loved ones throughout the year. These groups offer a space for all to come together and work through trauma as a group in a supportive environment. Together, participants find support, build resilience, and discover they are not alone in their healing journey.
-
